One Big ‘Hats Off’ Concert for LBS Music

Label bosses Lindsay Butler and Shaza Leigh spearhead one big concert for their team of outstanding talent during the Hats off to Country Festival.

The Butlers will showcase some of the best traditional country recording artists when Lynette Guest, Brian Young, Lana Ross, Dale Duncan, Lindsay Waddington, Christina George and The Butler Show Band featuring Greg Williams, Peg Gilchrist and Rod Walker, take the stage on Sunday morning for one of the major festival attractions – The LBS Morning Tea.

This concert will not only deliver a broad cross-section of country music in a 3 hour action packed show but will feature the long-awaited album launch of Shaza Leigh’s new album “Seasons”.

Leigh moved from The Whitsundays to become a Tamworth resident over 17 years ago and has successfully forged a recording career within the country music industry.  This new album is the 9th release with LBS Music and by all early reports, the best to date.

In fact many believe Shaza Leigh’s career is just peaking as Rhonda Sinclair of Aussie Independent Music Publishing expressed; ‘Undoubtedly one of Australia’s best touring acts and finest performers, Shaza Leigh has excelled as a musician, vocalist and songwriter, justifiably endorsed by a stockpile of awards and accolades.  Her vocal performance is always warm, full of emotion and feeling, uncovering the maturity of a seasoned professional’.

Whilst reviewing the album Sinclair added ‘Seasons takes you on a musical journey of life, love and family, a feel good journey of what is truly important in this life.  The songs are uplifting yet insightful, powerful yet tender and memorable yet subtle.  Most importantly the album highlights what an outstanding talent Shaza Leigh really is’.

Shaza herself admits ‘Seasons may have been three years in the making but I believe it was worth the wait’ as she paid homage to award winning record producer ‘The Master’ Lindsay Butler; ‘He possesses one of the greatest musical minds, repeatedly creating masterpieces and being our 9th album together, it becomes increasingly difficult to better the last.  It may have taken us three years this time but I think we’ve achieved our objective’.  She added with a laugh, ‘If it sells as well as the last one we’ll all be happy’.

Shaza also made reference to the pool of musicians hand-picked for the album, commenting on their tasteful backing complimenting the vocals and the desired feel of each individual song. ‘The musicians that Lindsay uses are amongst the best in the business.  They are all experienced in various genres and are capable of delivering a world class product’.  This statement is credible as her first international single, from the last album, reached number 1 on the charts in several European countries and various tracks, from all of her albums, have launched Shaza into the National Charts in Australia.  It’s also interesting to note that many of the leading country musicians in Australia choose to reside in country music capital.

Some of the musicians and several of her friends in the industry will take the stage with her and Lindsay for this special event and it will prove to be an enjoyable morning as the Butlers are renowned for creating an experience that surpasses a normal concert.

The studio will also be opened to the public at the completion of the concert and the artists will mingle with the patrons for a cuppa.  Don’t miss this relaxed concert presentation at Butlers Auditorium on Sunday 19th starting at 10am.  Tickets are now available from the Tourist Information Centre or from LBS Music.
